Low libido (reduced sexual desire)
Clinically, low libido means your desire or interest in sex has decreased. Low libido can occur with the natural decline of hormones or the sudden decline brought on by stress, nicotine use, high blood pressure, cholesterol medication, poor diet, poor sleep and/or lack of exercise, which all add to accelerated hormone imbalances. These multiple causes can often result in low levels of the male hormone testosterone.
Because it maintains sex drive, sperm production, muscle, hair, and bone health, low testosterone can affect your body and mood.
Morganstern does not offer a one-size-fits-all treatment approach as many men’s clinics do. Often testosterone is prescribed as the main solution to addressing low libido and hormonal imbalance. The reality is, if the cause of your hormonal imbalance is not detected and corrected, then you will have to stay on testosterone injections or medication for extended periods of time, which can increase long-term health risks.
That is why, at Morganstern, we take a comprehensive approach to restoring and optimizing your hormone levels. We will do a complete examination and blood panel to determine the fundamental imbalances at play causing your low libido.
You can expect a customized care plan designed to get you results. Your plan may include one or more of the following therapies or supplemental treatments:
